3/4 York Place is a polished stone faced building of Bauhaus style design on a side street in Scarborough town centre, a few yards from Westborough, the town's prime pedestrian retail pitch, and opposite the Brunswick Shopping Centre. It was originally two Victorian mid terrace houses, rebuilt in 1939 with a stone facade and a flat concrete roof, and stands in a conservation area of period terraces. The basement is used for storage.
