Work on a multimillion pound Travelodge hotel at Monks Cross is close to the finish line, providing new employment and accommodation for York.
Helmsley Group actively identified Travelodge as an occupier for the site, obtained planning permission and secured development funding with a pre-sale of the completed investment.
The 80 bedroom hotel, scheduled to open in December 2018, will give visitors extra business and leisure accommodation, in what is being seen as a positive move for Monks Cross. with investment from a national
brand.
